Hi im just wondering in the actual hsc are u tested on ur preliminary stuff as well as ur y12 stuff ( ie like the sc tests all the work from 7-10)

Only in maths will you be tested on preliminary stuff (in which case they can ask up to two questions) however, you must remember most HSC stuff is expanded Preliminary stuff so to understand the HSC stuff you will need to understand the Preliminary course.

well it really depends on ur subjects

history for example, you can pretty much start from yr 12 because the yr 11 stuff is completely irrelevant.

20% of the HSC in maths can come directly from the prelim course

Yeah they are normally used for the first few questions and equate to easy marks.

Any subject the prelim course is easier, of course in most courses they can't ask you prelim questions. But some dot points link back to prelim knowledge so effectively they can.

maths carries its concepts in the HSC year. they say 20% is assesed in the HSC but, you will find that it will not directly effect you. all prelim maths stuff is a foundation for HSC maths stuff, so really, if you want to think, you're getting assesmed on pretty much everything
