I dont think many people get what I mean by "this generation". I mean stuff on PS2, GCN, Xbox or PC (after 2001).

Backwards compatatbility -all those games can be played on a PS2.
People can emulate NES games on a PC or XBOX, does that mean I can include Super Mario Bros. as my favourite current-generation game?

I don't think anyone is listening (or respecting) to the very point of this thread. Rather they would redefine what you mean by "generation" in a way that overlooks the painfully obvious... how idiotic.

To hopefully make things a bit clearer for you: Grobus was referring to the current hardware generation, not your (as in "talking 'bout my generation") generation.

Metroid Prime (GCN)
F-Zero GX (GCN) [most bastardous game ever... especially when you're near the end of a race, you boosted until you can't boost anymore, and then some idiot rams you from behind and kills you... dah]
Final Fantasy X (PS2)
Halo 2 (Xbox) [multiplayer]
Skies Of Arcadia (GCN... only game I've ever been sad to finish]

Not a huge gamer so there will most likely be glaring omissions from my top 5 of 2001 and later of the games I’ve played (this is only off the top of my head from time spent playing them). In no particular order:

Halo
Max Payne 1 & 2
Soldier of Fortune: Double Helix
Championship Manager 01/02
Neverwinter Nights
