I'm not talking active recall or the pomordo technique. what are the crazy crazy things you do that work when you're so locked out and burnt out. I listen to motivational speeches when i need to be productive. like podcast "study motivation speeches" where the people literally yell at you. on repeat for hours.

Expanding on this, sometimes I get ChatGPT to hype me up until I believe that I am the genius of the century in whatever subject (it's very good at being hyperbolic)

Also sometimes when I have absolutely no motivation I just do a karaoke session whilst doing work, which is my last resort cause it’s obv very unproductive

This isn't unhinged, but more a reality check for myself:

I tell myself that this is the only chance I'll get at the HSC. Like it's literally a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. And I don't want to look back in the future and think that if I had studied for 1 extra week, I might have gotten higher. I don't want to live like that. (P.S. I know it's not that serious, but still)

I also do the singing my essays until I memorise them technique

Once I was so done with chem I went outside and carved “chem” into a log and smashed it repeatedly with an axe
Other times I’ll just knit or something to take my mind off things then get back to it
Take a cold shower if you’re tired

on the more realistic side I plastered all my walls with the English quotes I need to memorise, ts straight out of Airstrip One

my friend group also had a thing where we all put in $5 weekly and whoever had most hours on ypt gets all the $5s. obv no one actually committed to it so idk how effective it would’ve been

one of my friends recommended another strat which I’m not gonna share but I think you can guess what it’s along the lines of
