i'm doing a task on the topic NOIR. and well i need some help on writing an essay about characteristics of noir in "the life and crimes of harry lavender", "veronica mars", "the lady in the lake" by raymond chandler, and "the maltese falcon."

well i dont actually do extension, but in general for film noir our teacher said that a strong female character or femme fatale and a lot of black and white lighting. and she said some other stuff but i think i dozed off...sorry.

They have a black/ dark theme, usually a femme fatale character, involve murder and manipulation. I have some notes just on film noir but they are buried somewhere sorry. If I find them i'll let you know
