I have a friend wh wants to do acturial studies at UNSW. Apparantly all you need is 86+ in 4U maths (raw mark) and 95+ in UAI, so it's not as difficult to GET INTO as some other courses. But to graduate from this course takes a certain sort of person Good luck!

maquarie has a higher UAI cut off than UNSW for actuarial studies and it does have a high drop.

u r not doing physics and 3unit maths...but computer science is mainly 3unit-4unit math and physics

^^ the only assumed knowledge for computer science is 3 unit maths for most unis.

what's wrong with military service?

You go to Kings, have these subjects (Physics, Chemistry, 3U Maths, 3U English, Latin, Philosophy) and you want to do military service? Do you happen to be a SNCO, WO or CUO in cadets by any chance ?

If your talking about gap year programs, ADFA @ UNSW or similar, then by all means go for it, but if your talking about enlisting then... I'm not too happy about that...

I am basically in the same boat. However, I am sure there is some way I can get in without getting the UAI required.
