your idea sounds pretty good, builds suspense. I chose the time and wrote about winning a race, bullying, slow and time managing.

My story was about the key.

It was about this mysterious door that appeared one day, and the main character was the only one who could see it. The door continued to be there until he was 16, which is the present time. On his 16th birthday, his grandfather gave him this family heirloom which was a silver key, which could open the door. The kid opens the door, black hands grab him, and he is taken down towards the never-ending abyss.
As quoted from another thread.

I chose the key.

I wrote about a guy who finishes his late-night shift at Hungry Jacks. He's afraid of the dark. As he's going back home he sees a shady-looking guy coming towards him. His street is poorly lit and he either faces the man or faces his fear. He runs down the street to try to get to his house before the man gets him. He trips over and starts yelling for the man to get away. The man takes down his hood to reveal that it's actually one of his friend. This friend asks if he can get a good word put in for him to work at Hungry Jacks. He tells his friend this isn't the time to be talking about this and walks to his house. As he puts in the key, his 'friend' casts out his finger. Just as he opens the door and walks in, he is consumed by a shadowy abyss. His friend puts his hood back on and walks the night, again.

I'm such a crack-head and I seriously doubt it's going to do very well.

Chalk another one up for Monopoly and Dice. Mine was from the point of view of one of the pieces, contemplating the endless reiterations of the game

I chose the written note, it was about some college graduate who remembered writing a time capsule hidden under an oak tree. Before he dug it, he was reminiscing his childhood throughout high school. He dreamed of becoming a doctor but by the time he went to high school, he slacked off and played WoW most of the afternoons. When he reached end of high school, he realized he had no ambitions or goals but he worked his butt off at the end and became successful artist because it was his 'new found' passion. He finally dug the time capsule and chuckled. He stated that you do not need to fulfill your childhood dreams but be happy wherever you are now.

So corny and cheesy.

mine was based on someone wakin up in a room with a load of doors on a black background, theres a note with instructions and a key, the titles 'Choosing the Right door'. these doors sorta represented paths in life, n in the end the moral was there is no right or wrong door, but what u make of it

sorta random, might not make sense coz im missing out alot o details

I chose the "watch" and wrote about an elderly lady, who wakes up and, upon seeing the date, circled in red, she goes about cleaning the house and preparing it for an arrival, then she departs to the train station to wait (watch comes in here). After several hours, she leaves, and a local boy asks her mum who she is waiting for, and it is then revealed she is waiting for her son, who died in the army. The mother comments that she will be "back there tomorrow", and the first line of the story is used to conclude it, showing the repeating cycle of her life.
