i bought linkin parks minutes to midnight album first day as sooon as the shops opened up and i loved it every song is good on it theyve changed alot but still sound goooood.....but many of ma frends say its a shit album so just posting this shitty thread to see what linkin park fans think of it

but i know, no doubt that theyve done a great job with it.
loved all their previous albums (not so much collision course), so why not this one?

They played the whole album on the radio (I don't remember which one, I was sitting in the car waiting and I got bored so I flicked around) and I really wanted to like them again.

Yes they changed. Yes they're really trying to stretch and mature, I still don't like it. My tastes have severely changed since me in year 9 or 10. There are some songs where there is nothing original about it. Not in the pomo sense but the "there is nothing special here" sense.

I'm sorry. Maybe it'll grow on me when a few singles come out and go on repeated airplay but for now, I hate it.

i don't like it. its really generic. mike shinoda should quit lp and do fort minor full time cos lp just sound generic and boring; like they've run out of good ideas or something.

and in the new video chester looks exactly like rob halford from judas priest hahaha.

the guitar player is too lazy. in hybrid theory he did decent stuff but from meteora onwards he is just filler.

but no i really don't like the new lp album at all.

and most people id say feel like that too.

one of my friends is the biggest lp fan ever since they came out back in the day, and he even said this album was rubbish.

needless to say i was surprised to hear that from him.

its not so much bad, its just boring and generic.

I was rather suprised at some of the songs. They've got a new sound sometimes but overall, I actually like the album. Not as fascinating as their previous ones but it's still good.
