Hey,

Just curious about Briar Rose Close Study of Text Module B, when doing the essay,what are the markers looking for? Do they want a focus ONLY Jane Yolen's TECHNIQUES and the significance of each...?? or something else... what have you guys been doing for preparing an essay for Briar Rose, there are just sOOO many aspects of the novel that its confusing to know what the markers want exactly...sound confusing? sorry, just any help on HOW to go about structuring the ESSAY would be greatly appreciated...

its simple.

well, im going to speak about the techniques in relation to the themes. remember to speak about allegory, intertextuality, epigraphs, descriptive writing, characterisation and the narrative structure.
it is very important to include the symbols and what they mean in relation to what is being said. dont fret, its easier than you think. good luck!
