I want to do combined aerospace engineering/arts at sydney uni...dunno if that's even allowed...and as for after uni, no idea. I love writing, would kill to be some kind of sports journalism, but also enjoy the whole concept of space and space travel.

So meh, I'll see where life takes me.

Where is your UAI going to take you?

Well motivation is at an all time low and procrastination is at an all time high. So I'm hoping by doing this I'll be able to see the HSC for what it's worth to me.

You should all join in too.

Plan:

1.UAI will be enough to get into B economics at ANU
2.Live freely, and have the time of my life living on campus while keeping the degree as my first priority
3.perhaps go onto post grad
4.Work in the public sector, helping make policies, models, all that jazz.
5.Land a job I love regardless of how it pays
6.have a smooth ride til death knocks on my door.

EDIT: Mods, please don't delete. This is a thread for us 08ers to realize where the HSC can take us if we do well and in the process of this we might regain our motivation. (given that you're like me and it's currently hiding)

I can't be an economist without getting into uni first.
Sure there are backdoors, but this is the most straight forward option.

So really it is the qualification that is going to make you an economist not the UAI
Also why ANU? Come to Usyd :)
Yes, but the UAI is the first step. So if I keep procrastinating I that's ruin the rest of my plan and it all falls apart because I fucked up step 1....

And I want to go to ANU because I want to move out, have a change of scene, live by myself and just venture out a bit. I wanna be free.

But yeah, USyd is very very tempting...

..very.

EDIT: I seriously can't string together a sentence today without getting something wrong.

Exactly, please don't question my obviously flawed logic, it will further lower my motivation. If that's even possible.

In reality, nowhere? If I can get 90 I'll do forensic science but that's not really going to happen.
If I get above 78 I'll try for UNSW but I don't even want to go there.

If I get into CIT would be the more appropriate option for me,
1. I'll get to live in canberra, my second home with the best ska scene in australia. not to mention what else is in canberra.
2. Can earn some money and pretty much scope out a new environment
3. LEAVE THE HAWKESBURY/PENRITH VALLEY FOREVER!

Hey this has motivated me, only problem is it's not my score that's going to get me in it's a portfolio.
so not motivated me so much to do work as to procrastinate and do art =)

Brad, if you don't mind me asking.

What UAI do you think you could realistically get at this point in time?

You still have good solid months to get whatever you want. You don't have to get it perfect, you just have to get it going. :)

Its a number i will compare with my mates from school for a week, then be like why did i put so much effort (or lack there of) into getting a little number that means nothing in the end.

Umm definately travelling after HSC! but I don't know whether to take a gap year or not.
As for uni, I orginally was aiming for B Education/B Arts (USyd) but now B Liberal Studies (USyd) looks more appealing :)
