Hi.

On the handbook for the BE ME in electrical engineering, what does this mean?

"Notes:
This program has received provisional accreditation by Engineers Australia.
"

Also, how does this compare to:

"The Institution of Engineers, Australia, recognises the degree of BE in any of the undergraduate programs offered by the School as meeting the examination requirements for admission to graduate and corporate membership. Substantial or complete recognition is accorded to the BE degree programs by overseas engineering institutions."

I have a dilemma at the moment, but it would be best to take that to private messaging.

So each new program does not immediately get full accreditation by Engineers Australia. It's only after the first group of students graduate, the program is then evaluated and decided whether it meets the standards of other accredited programs.

I think what your second quote is saying is that only the BE component is accredited/recognised. In the case of BE ME, that combined program as a whole only has provisional accreditation.

This is nothing really to worry about. The BE ME program is a solid program.
