What kinda things have you gotten into this year? Student Clubs, societies, competitions, etc?

How much were they, and most importantly: are they worth it!?

I'm sure flyin' will elaborate a lot on this ... but yes, they are important. Most people who go for jobs will have similar grades - i.e. good grades. What distinguishes them is outside activities. Noone wants to hire some bore that gets all HDs but does nothing else but study.... They are pretty important I think....

Also, the more work experience you have in the relevant fields then the less relevant your grades become in determining whether you get a job or not (some Actuary guy said this so I not pulling this outta my arse like other people *ahem*).

I do law comps (did senior mooting semester 1, organising client interviewing this semester).

Boston Consulting Group Strategy Comp - Macquarie Undergrad team.

Mentoring (general and for Law).

And my friend has hassled me to join the Anime club, so I'll be signin up to that.
