I've actually got quite a lot to cram into one month, but I will because I'm going into Year 11 next year :( and want to enjoy this last bit of freedom while I can, so that it would be possible that I could have even the slightest quantum of solace.

  • Doubt - released 15/1
  • The Wrestler - released 15/1
  • Revolutionary Road - released 22/1
  • Valkyrie - released 22/1
  • Gran Torino - released 22/1
  • Milk - released 29/1

How did you see it? Did you download it or are you a critic?

I will definitely check it out, opening day, which happens to be my birthday but-meh. It's definitely going to be great to see Mickey do it again. Darren Aronofsky is also quite an acclaimed director, although I have to admit I have not seen any of his work; I'm interested in checking out Requiem for a Dream, Pi and The Fountain if I enjoy The Wrestler.

all these oscar hunting movies are put on dvd screeners for critics
around this time of year they tend to leak on the net
you could get most of these from torrent sites

not that i'd endorse it etc

I just watched this a few weeks ago with a group of friends. Really good movie, amazing cinematography, but i've gotta warn you... IT'S REALLY REALLY REALLY DEPRESSING. Seriously it took me like a week to get over it. It really makes you feel shit about people in general.

Anyways, it's not a movie, but I have spent the last few weeks recovering from my Requiem For A Dream experience by churning through Gilmore Girls(lol). Halfway through season 3 atm.

Hahaha, it isn't as good as you might think. I was quite disappointed.
