Hey,

Just out of interest, and hopefully this will not happen, but what happens if we miss an exam because we are sick or some unforseen thing happens? Do their use the other exam marks and scale the missed subject by the the assessment marks you got? So we get an overall UAI from all our subjects?

you need to appeal for illness/misadventure and they use your moderated school mark

You would need to send in an illness/misadventure application.

If accepted, your moderated assessment mark will be used as your exam mark. If rejected, you won't receive an exam mark for that course (this is a Bad Thing).

I think a misadventure would be anything outside of your control that could not have been reasonably avoided.

I think travel-wise, they only accept rather extreme circumstances, like if you actually got in a serious car accident or something on the way. If the car breaks down or the trains were screwed up or something, then I don't think they accept it...

A cold is definately not a good enough reason to miss the exam. You have to be like physically unable to do it for them to consider it. But if you are at all sick, you can apply for special consideration on the day...the supervisors will ask if anyone is applying before the exam starts.

Here's what you do,

Bring a brick in your bag. About 20 minutes into the exam cry out " OWWW MY STOMACH!!! THE PAIN!!! THE PAIN!!! MISS CAN I USE THE TOILET?"

Get the bring out of your bag and throw it really hard into the water and it will go "KAAA PLLUNNK!!!!"

Then yell out a scream "OHHH YEAHHHHH THAT FEELS GOOD"

Do that every hour and you'll surely succeed in misadventure.

Note: I'm about half joking hahahha.

Both scenarios-you get assigned some random year 8 (that only volunteered so they could get out of Maths...) who can't write for shit to be a scribe for you.
