It seems to be the shining star of UNSW's architecture, yet I have no idea what it's used for. It sits up there with it's absurd walkway glass thing, yet I never see anyone go in there. What exactly is this John Niland Scientia building used for?

Lots of industry based presentations are conducted in the Scientia.

Careers expo used to be at the Scientia (now at Randwick Racecourse)

It also a good place to look out across campus and ponder the meaning of life. This works best when its night on the sun is setting.

Once you have reached your conclusion that life pretty much sucks, you can then jump off the Scientia.

Has anyone noticed that the giant metal bar that looks like its holding it up (but probably isnt') is on a fucking pivot. Wonder what would happen if someone were so careless as to blow up that pivot.

I saw people in their graduation uniforms today hovering around the walk from the Scientia building toward the Clancy Audotorium. I guess they were using that famed building for that purpose?

A groovy view? How do you get on top of this Scientia building?

Yeah I remember that, our grade was the last year to have manual enrolments

I was under the impression that Rex Vowles was the best major theatre in the uni. I guess that's not even remotely true anymore, what with this Scientia character popping up here.

Haven't been to Rex Vowels (or as far as I can remember) but Ritichie Theatre is pretty small compared to some of the other theatres.

The Scientia Building was originally built to hold Graduation Ceremonies in, but after they built it they realised it was too small so they had to have first year enrolments in there instead. bwahaha.
