I like to buy the actual CD. It's something physical. I like to be able to look through the album booklet etc. Also there's generally no digital rights management this way.

i use the 3 methods.

i will download the song legally if its the only way of getting it or i know the person personally who created it. i will download music illegally if to preview an album to see if its worth buying, then will buy the cd if its worth it, majority of the time i go and buy it anyways.

Buy CDs whenever i can find/afford them because i love having the CDs. Else download illegally and then often go back and buy CD at a later date. Hate iTunes and paying to own a piece of digital music is stupid, the point of paying for CDs is to get the artwork, lyrics and whatnot that comes with it that makes it all that more special.. why pay if you aren't getting that. And before someone mentions the digital artwork that is commonly packaged with purchases nowadays, its just not the same.

if a single song, download using vidtomp3; if albums, rapidshare.

all in all, illegal music.

mainly torrents for me, but i bought 1 cd. I couldnt find any torrents for this cd, but i found out that there's only 5000 copies were released, and i was sure i saw it at my local jb hifi, so i went and bought it.
Got home, putting into itunes library, found an album cover image, funny thing was that the website from which i copied the album cover happen to have a megaupload and rapidshare upload of that album...................................................

Well at least i got my hands on something thats limited edition.

pwoahh, no wonder the music industry are up in arms about these sort of things.

Singles: Limewire
Album: Warez
If it's an album i like, i'll probably buy.
