I wanna know what languages people have at their school. My school has 4 ( Japanese, Italian, French and German.) Thats pretty good seeing we are in a regioanl area. And do all schools have both beginners and continuers? We have 4 continuers clasees and 1 beginners.

Ciao!:)

French Continuers & Extension (everyone does French in year 7 so no demand for beginners')

German Continuers & Extension (I forget if beginners' F is offered, probably would be on request)

Italian Continuers & Extension

Latin Continuers & Extension

Ancient Greek Continuers & Extension

Japanese (beginners')

Chinese Continuers (don't know if extension or beginners' were offered, don't think there was a demand)

Sanskrit (but not for the HSC)

We only have 1 other language besides English, which is Indonesian for the junior years. The rest have to do langs via correspondence which I few of my friends found really hard last year.

Juniors at our school hav a choice between French and Japanese. I did french for a while, I shouldve kept it cos it was easy and cool.

I learnt Indo and Greek in yr 7...

Seniors have english and Jap. There's a couple of ppl doing Indo and Korean, but they do it through Open High School. Then ppl do Saturday School too.. There's ppl doing Viet, Chinese, Macedonian and Polish as far as I know

The Year 7's and 8's are the ones with the most options-- they are offered French, Chinese, Italian and Greek. I did French and it was my best subject in those two years, unfortunately there was not much interest after Year 8 and there weren't enough ppl to choose it as an elective. In senior years, you only get Chinese Beginners and Continuers as well as Greek beginners and continuers, as they are the two main languages at our skool.
