I chose Communications (Public Communication)/Law @ UTS because I love debating, writing, reading and just being well-informed about the forces at work outside of a lot of people's knowledge in society. I think Law is an empowering degree personally if not for any other reason.

And as challenging as it will be, I think the course can be very rewarding. Hopefully it will be financially rewarding too ;)

i chose my course coz i have wanted to be a vet my whole life, i think i was born with the decision coz i dont remember ever actually deciding "i think i want to be a vet"
i love animals, they are beautiful, fascinating creatures, they dont bitch, they are not greedy.... they dont have anything that makes humans evil, yet they are treated with no respect by some people
i want to promote animal welfare and responsible pet ownership. i love medicine and surgery. and then there is radiology, animal behaviour, holistic medicine, dentistry... i love the variety. being a vet is the most satisfying thing i can do with my life and i cant wait to start practicing!!!
there are heaps of career opportunities (practising, research, quarantine, media, pharmaceutical, etc)

Or you could specialise in a language within B.Arts.
How about the BA (Languages) at Usyd? That's a degree devoted to the study of languages~
\

no other uni offered BA(Interpreting and Translating)...i would have wasted my time just specialising in a language in a bachelor of arts while in this course they focus on intepreting and translating for a specified language and at the end of the course im an accredited intepreter or tranlator or both

hey thanks MS 12.. btw who is your friend? i would most probably know them as there is only 20 of us in the course!!

Yeah it is pretty competitive- we have to write essays and fill in a questionaire as part of being accepted. All the comms at CSU have to. Auditions are for the Theatre Media and Acting for stage and screen courses.

I didn't even remember that I chose it. I was pretty sure Id get into one of the BSc courses that I put down, and then I got into engineering surprisingly enough.

I chose Forensics because I thoroughly enjoy the 'slicing and dicing' of deceased or near-deceased (let's just say.. inanimate) objects. I am also looking forward to finally adding to my glass of human ears.

On a less fabricated note, I chose Forensics because I am really interested in the intricate ways in which they solve crimes. From fingerprinting to tire tracking, it fascinates me enough to make me want to make a career out of it. Also, I like challenges, and I like the fact that every day could bring something entirely new and arduous. :)

I chose commerce/law because I always wanted to do law (since primary school) and legal and business were my fav subjects in HSC, so it was a pretty natural choice... I chose ANU because its lecturers are all really highly qualified, it has the prestige that will help get $$$ when I am out and I like Canberra... I didn't even bother applying for any of the city unis because I don't think much of sydney city...

Design computing because I love computers, and designing stuff, Comp Sci really is full of programming, which isnt really me. Don't get me wrong, I know Des Comp has programming but at least its more focused on the designing aspect. I also chose it over the Digital Media course at COFA because this is focused more on computers while the COFA course has more of a broader view of stuffs. :D!
