hey
im kinda unsure what diffrentiates a pip from a research project i was thinking of doing maybe this:

the royal family in Thailand as contrasted the the royal family of Cambodia
because the Thai royal family is so well loved while the Cambodian royal family is responsible for many of its peoples deaths. is this too researchy? i could relate it to power and authority prehaps?

yes, you can relate that to power and authority. You can also incorporate the cross-cultural component/perspective of the two countries as well as your personal view on this. As long as you can back-up your research with secodary research then that's fine. The more research, the better.
