For all the tech skrubs, OS stands for operating system.

I use Chrome for my laptop, Android for my phone and Ubuntu for the laptop I bought and am trying to fix up.

If Chrome is the OS, then that makes it a Chromebook. Ergo, not a laptop.

Typed up and posted from a Chromebook

How did you do that then? I'm having difficulty trying to install Ubuntu on an old laptop of mine which runs Windows.

Yeah, but this laptop isn't able to connect to the Wi-Fi for some reason and lacks a disc drive.

What's wrong with it? Cant you just wipe the HDD and install Ubuntu instead?

Blue Screen of Death keeps occurring. The recommended fix for that is to a system restore. I don't know how to wipe the HDD anyway.

Plug in the Ubuntu stick then do a clean install.

How do you not know that.
