A raw of 58% would give you a scaled of like 79%

Not bad at all. And then that scales up for the UAI calculations. Damn you did better then me.

if this helps in finding this years cutoff for band e4:

last year a mate of mine got 67-8/ 84 (80-1%) raw, which got alligned to 94,

he is heaps certain, cause he managed to write answers in the margin of the paper he took home

since the tests were of similiar hardness, i guess 70% raw shoud scrape a band e4 this year and thus, 75% raw wood be a gauranteed alligned 90

yeh 75 would go 9 ZERO.... wtf is this 50/84 going to nighty... that is ridiculous.... lol... isnt that a bit too easy? that means 42/84 should be like 80....... (is it? :$)

lol i just read that scaling thread.... 45-52/84 = 45/50 ...... sigh.... I JUST MISSED OUT!!! :'(

a 58 % raw mark will be scaled (statistically speaking, and using the last years as a guide) probably around the 84- 88% as a rough guess. I might be wrong, but I think that is probably about right. If an inordinate amount of nerds... oops, I mean students, make stupid mistakes ( like I ... I mean others do) then perhaps we might get a few marks higher, say up to about perhaps, maybe... hopefully, around the 90 mark ( seems a bit high, but here's hoping). As it is an extension paper, it is then fit into the 50 mark and aligned, everyone seems to know this part and I left if out of the original

I lecture in University and I have taken over Chriscity1 computer and won't let him have it back... revenge is such sweet .... I mean, the mark which I have postulated to fit into about the 84-88 range would scale to about 43-44 into the extension (out of 50)

Hmmmmm....
Lets say, i get 87 perecnt in 2 unit maths, and 70 percent in 3 unit maths. What is the 'least' they would be scaled, kinda like a worst case scenario. But also, wat do you think they would get scaled to realistically this year..
