i dont know where to put this ...but i was wondering for a while...

i want to go to university but i dont know what i want to study...i was wondering what do you guys study or what do you think would be good to study, and if there are people who picked their subject but thought it was crap etc

and i have researched but im still lost

It might help if you decided what degree to do first or even narrowed down the faculty (i.e like Arts humanities, Economics and Business, Science, Law etc)

Subjects are classified according to faculty and although students can cross faculties for a few units, mostly they are restricted to the faculty which their degree belongs to (like most Commerce students are restricted to the Econ and Business faculty though they can do a few units outside the faculty)

...unless you simply forgot to mention the degree you're after

It's hard to decide without knowing how good you're going. (Teaching and Law don't seem to be a viable option if you're not doing good, unless you do another course like business/commerce/science and then get a teaching degree at the end of your degree.)

if you don't know what to do in terms of career then I think you shoudl look at what you're good at in the HSC and try to find a degree that accomodates those interests and is still gives you options to pursue other things.

I did that cos I had no idea what to do so I just tried to find a degree that let me continue to study my fav subjects that i did in the HSC and is still reasonably open to other options.

What should you study? Well, theres a couple of ways to determine that.

1) What do you like to do?
2) What do are you good at doing?
3) What could you see yourself doing?

After you've answered those, you should have your answer

i know i wont be doing anything to do with business

i like legal, english + ancient history...but i dont think it'll be the same as what we're studying at school...

im alright at english, legal + sor dont know about ancient

i dont know what i see myself as...it keeps changing

Not knowing what you want to do is hardly an unusual state of affairs.

You have no need to be embarrassed, so just say that you don't know.

Well, since your subjects seem to be mainly humanities based, you could always just go for your traditional Arts degree. I would've recommended Liberal Studies, but that involves science. The good thing though, about it, is that you have to do a language in it, and the International stream gets to study overseas for one semester

with those sorts of humanity based subjects, maybe look into things like sociology, anthropology, psychology, linguistics and see if they interest you. all can be done as a major with an arts degree

Look at the faculties and then the subjects. What ever your interested will point to your degree. What are you worrying about, you have time between the UAI releases and the Uni releases... arrr soo glad I'm not worrying about this stuff anymore!
