need some advise.

im doing second yr Bcom-Accg. i need to do some electives this year and wondering what do ppl usually pick for their electives?

do u guys just pick whatever you want to do regardless if it has anything to do with accounting? is there any reccomended electives that actually is related to my program accounting? any interesting one?

any help would be appreciated!!! THANX

mktg101 is good...try something new...that way you'll stay interested in accg i reckon rather than flooding yourself with accg subjects..(but its personal choice)... you can try stat279 or if you like busl or some bba ones...or go and do a language beginners..looks good on resumes...

Common electives are

MTKG101 introductory mktg
ECON141 econometrics
PHIL137 critical thinking
SPN101 - that's fairly new, kinda fun from what i heard.
ANTH106 drugs across cultures
MAS 104 aust media


ACST201
STAT270/279
ACCG232
MUS202

There's also a 300level elective to do from the ecfs fac - that's why sometimes you have to plan the 100 and 200 lvl electives carefully!

At 100level, I did MKTG101, which was really easy and there's no tute as such. 3hrs p/w, ilectures...I think i did it after reading the reviews here!

At 200level, I did FRN226 and 227. that was K.

I'm yet to do another 100lvl elec and 1 300lvl elec...

Thanx guys i mite try marketing...i fink or something else lol...

btw for language i read in the handbook prerequisite: need permission from Dean

is dat really necessary?
