Of course you had to go through year 11 to get to year 12.

In our school, we had to get above 60% in all math assessments to be eligible for extension II in year 12.

first place with ~60% in ext 1 in yr 11. Ext 2 was open to any ext 1 student on the basis that you survive the first test.

I was getting pretty average marks, around 70%-80%, for most of year 11. This was partly due to some crap situations for a lot of my assessments like being really sick and the family cat dying but on the whole I wasn't working very hard. I then realised that I needed to put a bit of work into ext 1. I got a tutor for a couple of months, put in some work and got 95% in the end of prelim ext 1 paper. Some time in the holidays between year 11 and 12 I got it into my head that I wanted to do 4U. I basically had to beg and threaten my school to allow me to do it ( since mine was a 'late' application). The moral of this story: the more work you put into something, the better you're likely to do... funny that.

I was getting around 70 to 80% in extension 1, though we are of course excluding that awful circle geometry topic test which I got 49% in. :)

If we're also including non-assesible class topic tests then I also managed to fail a circle geometry one :p

We had 36 students start of prelim, dropped to 21 at the end and the top 5 were allowed to do 4u. I chose it, and so did the guy I got equal first with and another guy that was 6th or something, but he dropped it after complex numbers.
Both of us that do 4u are probably the laziest in the class though, lol.

Yup. Same as me. Except I didn't even pick up extension one until about may in prelim.....I suddenly decided I was bored of 2u.

But anyone who wanted was allowed to do 4u. Stock just said that we all have the ability to do well if we applied ourselves.
We started with 7 (only 15 do ext one) and we now have 5.

I got like 95% throughout the year in both extension 1 and advanced. I was placed 2nd in extension 1 and about 5th in advanced.

I was a 4U Englisher.
My maths teacher suggested i try this - I said "okay!" We needed 75% in the Prelim to get in, I got 80 something. (I think)

I was of course taken by 4U math ONLY because
1) No time-payments, superrannuation etc
2) No inequalities (or so my teacher said - i now know better :()

I was NOT informed about
1) Conics :( :( :(
2) Lunchtime lessons. :chainsaw:

We started off with 12 kids, down to about 9...

Year 11; 8 students doing Ext.1 math. I came 1st(or 2nd?) with 93%.
Year 12; 3 students doing Ext.2 math. 80% for Mid-Yearlies. (Probably failed 2005 cssa Trial)

To get into 4unit math at my school you simply had to want to do it. No questions asked.

My yr 11 marks ranged from 49 - 85% lol pretty much cos i did absoloutely nothing.. n my rank was about in the 30's out of 60
Now my average is >90% for 3U and 4U n my ranks r 1st and 2nd

Btw i dont see why everyone hates circle geometry!?! its such a beautiful topic!!
