So for enrolment day it says we have to pick the units of study that we want to do but I'm not actually sure what I'm supposed to be picking.

I'm doing a B Arts btw

So for example, on the Arts degree webpage it lists all the majors and I don't know if I'm supposed to pick 1 major or 2? etc
And within those majors, am I supposed to pick the units that I want to do, or are they compulsory?

No idea what I'm doing....

Scroll down: http://sydney.edu.au/arts/future_students/courses/undergraduate/arts.shtml Follow this guide for first year units. Pick 8 Junior Units from Table A or 6 from Table A and 2 from Table B - you'll know what I mean once you check your handbook for 2014.

Second year onwards units are done online/enrolled online.

There is also a list of units to pick from somewhere there. You don't need to decide on your major now. :) Majors have unit requirements so be sure to meet them.

Congratulations on your offer. :D

Note: You can change around your units online after enrolment day if you decided to undertake another unit. :)

Edit: Units are either offered in Semester One or Semester and sometimes both so be sure to pick 4 units for Semester One and 4 Units for Semester Two if you're a full-time student. The handbook you'll receive should explain it. Read it carefully and make sure you understand what is expected before graduation - ie. make sure you meet all the requirements for graduation and your major(s).

For one semester as a full time student 3-4 units and for a whole year its 8 units so 48CP worth... units are worth either 6 or 3 (for the Bachelor degrees and 6,4,3 and 2 for Masters) so each semester requires up to 24CP and each year up to 48CP so make sure you do units to fulfill the CP requirement. :)

Edit: Sorry. So for example you do 3x6CP of Units for a semester that is only 18/24 - you'll need to pick another unit worth 6CP or two units worth 3CP etc to fulfill the 24CP of the semester. :D

Second Edit: a 3-year degree normally requires 144CP of units and you don't necessarily have to finish your degree in three years especially if you choose to do 3x6CP of units a semester... and there is always Summer and Winter School if you wish to progress quickly through your degree or to resit a unit or make up a unit.

No problems. There will be help on the day if you need assistance deciding on your units and how to enrol etc. Just be sure on enrolment day you'll bring a list of units you'd like to study for each semester, IDs and a pen - it takes up to an hour tops to get enrolled and also bring a water bottle too.
