I was just doing the 2006 HSC paper and scored in the 90s out of 120. What hsc mark would that roughly get me if that was my hsc?

lol depends on your rank :p
you mean your aligned assessment mark ?

idk , but i`d say it`d be pretty high depending on how your cohort went , so around 110+.

I would kill for a aligned assessment mark of 110/100. [comment]Yes, I do know the differences and so forth. Don't point out my follies, because then you're just pointing our your ignorance.[/comment]

lol! id imagine 90's/120 will be well into the e4 range....92-95ish?....last years paper wasnt that difficult compared to others.

i think 100 would align to about 95, so 90 would align to about 92-3.

anyway, i did last year's HSC paper and found it pretty easy compared to some of the others. For that one, i'd say a 105 would align to about 95.

easy?? I thought the 06 paper was far from easy lol, but then again it was the first paper i did so i dont have much to compare

thats good though. 100ish/120 should be achievable

I'd say around 95, but don't count on it, because as everyone above has said, last year's paper was pretty easy compared to other years. I think last year's percentage of band E4s was a bit lower than in 2005 because of that.

90s/120 would get u around 91 or so, low 100s prolly 94ish. Just as a guide for last year's paper, I reckon I got around 109-110/120, which ended up as a 97. Trebla, shouldnt the proportion of E4s be very similar for each year since scaled marks are determined on ur ranking among the cohort and not the actual mark?

OT, your avatar is very cute.

but last year's exam was easier than the others i've seen so far, so it might not have been as high as if the raw mark was for a different paper.

How about 60/120? What would that scale to?

As an 05er...

After the exam I predicted I got around 84/120 (from answering exactly 90 marks worth, minus mistakes), and my aligned exam mark was 92/100.

Doesn't matter, exam mark is independent of school rank. With that said, I was 2nd (out of four people) and got a moderated internal assessment of 90 for an overall mark of 91.

What raw mark would I need to get 75 scaled?

Assuming that my raw exam mark will also be my internal assessment mark.
