My dot point text book askes me about uncombined elements... what is it and what are some examples of it.

The term is kinda self explanatory... an element that isn't usually found combined in a compound, they are usually the less reactive elements such as gold, platinum and silver but also includes reactive elements such as oxygen which is found uncombined in the atmosphere due to the 'inertness' of nitrogen.
