Whats the difference between 4UA and 4UC ? (1 Viewer)

hi im currently using lazseeker and im wondering whats the difference between these two things

Mathematics Ext2 4UA and
Mathematics Ext2 4UC

In 2001 there was a mistake with the scaling for 4U, which lead to abnormally high results. One of these values is based off the mistake, one is based off the correction. I have alas forgotten which is which, but try both and see which one gives a lower result.

dude, as far as i know in NSW there is one 4U maths course, called extension 2 maths. No As or Cs involved. Hence slide's cryptic answer.

Just to expand on McLake's thing. What they did was they scaled their maths ext 1 results differently to those whos highest was Maths Ext 1.

Due to the "better" canditure it got scaled higher for the same mark..

4UA= Four Unit Additional-- this refers to 4u students attempting Ext 2 paper
4UC= Four Unit Common-- this refers to 4u students attempting Ext 1 paper

thats wot it looks like from this book which talks bout 4ua and 4uc marks

I really wouldn't recommend using the LazSeeker program anymore - it's very outdated.
