Just wondering what everyones TAFE Campus is like & the pro & cons of not only your campus but also the course

Ok, here's mine :D
Bathurst Campus

PROS (campus)
Really big
clean
good courses
Big library
(Course)
well taught
good content
interesting

CONS (campus)
Travel time, my course isnt avalible at my crabby local campus
big walk to the canteen coz things are so spaced out
not much at the canteen
Foods real oilly and expensive
(Course)
Heaps of work & very intense
Gets confusing when you have 3 teachers for 6 subjects half the time we forget the subject we're in.

Indeed it is horrible, most of the travelling has to be done at night too which really sucks :chainsaw: but sacrafices sometimes have to be made if you want to get what you want, and I am extremely happy with my subjects as they were my second to favourite selections and Extension English is great. How about you? Enjoying your course & campus experience overall?

Iam, the traveling makes me very tired and its because of that, that I have to do two subjects (monday & wednesday) by flexi-delivery which is hard for two main reasons. One its hard to get movitated when you don't have the teacher of that subject breathing down you neck, I often forget that I have units for those subjects that I have to do and I'm like "Oh sh*t!"
So I'm spending the hols catching up on my units, as well as trying to do the pile of homework  lol I think I've learnt my lession do my flexi units as I get to them rather than leave them to plie and have your HT say to you "I want your units done by the end of the holidays" aggghh!
The other reason I dislike flexi is coz when you get stuck you're on your own. :( As intense as the course is I love it (my only wish is more sleep) But I spose you get that studying something like welfare.
I love my campus wheelchair access is great and I get full-time support in the classroom. All in all TAFE gets the thumbs up from me, no complaints. :D

Mt Druitt

PROS (campus)
clean!!!
nice eating/sitting areas outside
yummy canteen down near administration
parking is relatively easy
well organised and sign posted
nice new library
not far from mt druitt shops (Westpoint and the factory outlet)
also not far from the pool, the bowling alley and the library and train station... oh maccas AND red rooster are within easy walking distance.

(course)
awesome teachers who know what they are talking about!
said teachers provide good references when talking to their friends in the industry
some of said teachers also provide work experience for us in their own libraries.Westmead childrens for example
practical hands on stuff
we get to see both side of library work, behind the counter and from the floor and from behind our bosses desk(somewhat)
small class numbers

CONS (campus)
the canteen in L block sucks ass
parking is a biatch when the high school kids from next door decide they want to use our parking area
all the renovation going on

(course)
catalogue records suck ass
a few too many boring, theory intensive classes
a couple stodgy teachers
dwindling class numbers

The airconditiong is really shoddy, rooms are always either too hot or too cold

BreaKing, why don't you catch the 515 from Eastwood? It saves walking up that huge hill.

The 515 stops right outside the hospitality rooms on Blaxland Road.
