If you get evaluated by a specialist Phsycologist you will get a 'proper' IQ. If you are applying for a selective school it might be helpful to know how 'smart' you are. The very top selective schools in the world (which I say are overseas) require the students to sit an IQ test to get in. They have to pass with an IQ of 140 or more... (scary stuff). Though I doubt something as strenuous as this happens in Australia... it would be interesting to know your IQ if you were electing to go to a selective school.

e.g. Getting dux of the school does not mean your 'smart'. Your cohert (year) could be disadvantaged because they are a rural school and are 'less-intelligent' (not likely though) and your marks may actually be quite average or very low compared to other students at a selective school.

I like to see what the tests 'class' you as and recommend careers for you to take. They put me as "Visual Mathematician" almost every time... which apparently I am according to my teachers at school. I also prefer to study using tables, mind maps and graphs... I like to learn visually.

Yes, I watched that and participated at home. Although the lowest age was 18. :(. I compared to mum's age... (back then) 39. and I was smarter than her, by 1. lol hahaha I was so proud. We both kinda cheated off each other though :D.

There was also a British show called I'm a Kid Genius. it would show you extremely gifted children with the ability of knowing soo much more than they should. They would whoop my ass! One kid knew how to perform calculus and he was 6. The parents couldn't even do it properly... (they were lawyer and a teacher) and claimed to have never taught the child. That is just a freak of nature.
Though the show was quite interesting to watch. I did notice that the 'less intelligent' of there Kid Genius' tended to have a better social life and lived more like a child... playing with little silly things. I felt sorry for those that hang around adults and played cards/chess all day! :(
I say that program, "Kid genius."
It was alrite but the kid's had no life or friends.

Lol. Maybe you are just a pure genius.... If you don't want to believe them, which is natural that's fine. Because they are probably way off; just get a real evaluation lol. I did. I thought it was pretty fun, though the questions are quite challenging.

All these what? What type of person you are... what kind of thinker...

At the end of the tickle test they give you one and if you maybe google something on what type of thinker i am? you might get some hits with good tests.... dunno apart from the tickle one. The actual analysis that I had told me that as well :)

After you do the test on tickle and you sign up. It should take you to a page where it shows you what you are (or so they think you are). :uhhuh:

Your screenshots didn't work there mate. All I had to do was become a member and skip the ads at the end and it gave me one... I'm not going to to do it again because they only give you one evaluation with that kind of thing at the end... I think.

EDIT: my apologies if you're in fact sincere

Hi - I'm James, Year 9 NSW student - and my IQ is 125.

I am a much stronger "literal thinker" than a "mathematical thinker".
But, yet - I am in the top English AND Maths class ...and I hate Maths...life is not fair! lol :D

lol Pretty interesting topic to talk about though. A friend told me that Asians have average IQ of 110, and that aussies have average IQ of 120. She said that asians are not smart but are just try hards. True or not?

And also, my english teacher said that:

- James Ruse: IQ 140
- Other fully selective schools: 130
- 0-150 ranked Partially selective: 125

lol its funny seeing other people's perception of IQ.
i really doubt that...
