I've heard a fair bit about unis starting tutes within their second week - when do we start?

depending on the course/subject, tutorials usually start on the 2nd week. but there are some tutorials that start on the 1st wk.

Sometimes they give you a test in the first week to see how much you catually know.

Well maybe for your course, being IT and all. Or maybe courses with pre-reqs?

they go throught the course outlines and stuff. Thats what they said to me at o day today.

They explain the subject and assessments and what you'll be doing in the tutorial. They may also organise when you'll do presentations if you have any.

Yeah i heard about the course outlines too - but for a WHOLE week?!

I registered for my tutorials finking everything was fine it said i was registered etc...den when i log back on it goes my classes are full! WTH so what do i do?! still go to the tuts?

the darker shaded rows on the tut reg page, are the tutes you are registered in. Its all oki

so even if its grey shaded and says FULL then im still in that tut?

yup, FULL just means no one else can get into it. It's a full class.

thats correct, depends on the subject. but if it doesnt say on platform web if its on in wk 1 or wk 2 just go to it anyway in wk 1 n find out
