Me thinks its the 28th...... im doing civil (1st year)

yeah im doing mechanical and we start on the 28th too, you'll probly get more info sent to you lata, and since the o-camp is compulsory, they probly tell you all you need ta know there

Semester 1 official starts on Monday 28th of February. If you don't have class on Monday's, then Tuesday. If you don't have class on Tuesday, then Wednesday .

As you will note, Semester 1 goes from Monday, 28th February to Friday, 10th June. Everyone always gets a mid session break, which in Autumn, is from Friday 25th March to Friday 1st April. Some faculties also have an extra non-teaching week as well (like IT and Engineering) and faculties like Business usually have the week before exams off (which is the week ending Friday 10th June), since the exams start on Saturday, 11th June (day after semester finishes).

Yup, you really only go to uni for about 7 months, lol, which is why some of us a bored at the moment in our 3 month holiday
