When does Uni start? (1 Viewer)

I have to book a trip overseas in from early Jan onwards and I want to get back in time for the beginning of uni with time to spare for psyching myself up, buying stationary etc. Can someone tell me roughly or even better specifically when the first semester of Uni starts?

Usyd tends to start late and finish early. It's a 'we're snots and we go to a Harry Potter uni' thing.

I don't think it sucks that we start earlier. By the end of the holidays I'm usually nearing braindeath and can't wait to get back into the swing of things. After 3 months of holidays, a few extra days are nothing.
