1. Please do not steal shit.

2. Please do not make me chase you through the shopping center after you've stolen shit.

3. Please do not try on 20 sets of clothing and then leave without buying anything.

4. Please put the clothes back onto where you've gotten them instead of leaving them on the floor.

5. Please control your children/young siblings, please stop them from peeing in the changing rooms, trying to go behind the counter, messing up the displays etc.

6. Please bring a receipt to get a refund for that $10 singlet you've clearly damaged yourself, we do not give refunds for any pieces of clothing you randomly bring into the store.

7. Please make sure that you are aware of how enormously fat you are before you come into the store, as that size 10 shirt is not 'different', you just need to lose weight.

8. Please remember that if I am talking in a foreign language to my manager, I am making fun of you and insulting you.

9. Please do not try to socialise with me. I am at work. I am busy. I only smile and talk back to you because I am paid to do so.

10. Please remember that even though the 'customer is always right', employees are still human and not on extravagant wages. We also work 12hrs on Thursdays, please take our feelings into account and do not act like a pig too excessively. Thank you.

You work at SES don't you?
You as well? Or did the $10 singlet give it away? Honestly I think we're using slave labour in China or something, our clothes are so cheap, yet relatively fashionable.

Im a customer, its not my job to put clothes back on the racks. im a waitress and dont ask you to return your plates to the kitchen do i? Yes, take them off the floor and hand them to someone who works there, but its not our job to place them back.

Sizing is different between stores, no brand cuts the same way, and there is no universal size 10 = measurements. Dont be rude. You never know, maybe theyve lost 50kg or something. I realise you work at a 'fashion' store but come on, dont be that pathetic

If you want customers to not act as pigs, try to be nice to them? for your above 'rules' doesnt seem like your offering them much curtesy, so why should they return you some?

Perhaps, if such events were an anomaly and not a normal occurance. Unfortunately, this job proves how idiotic humans (more specifically teenage girls) are. Trying on many sets of clothing and then leaving it on the floor without buying anything is quite annoying for anyone in my position.

It's more funny than anything else really. When clearly overweight girls come into the store and try on clothes only to realise it will clearly not fit them, and then blame it on the fact that the sizes are 'Asian' - pfft no. I compared the clothes sizes to the ones at Valleygirl and K-Mart, they are relatively the same. Clothes don't fit? It's not the clothes' fault. It's not the store's fault. It's not my fault. People just need to lose some excess baggage. Or at least, if you do have some baggage, at least stop trying to buy clothes sizes that are realistically not your size.

Just the advantage of having the knowledge of a second language, dear.

It's all reciprocal of course, and trust me I'm not overtly rude to anyone new, but if the vast (something like 70%) of customers come into the store with the full intent of acting like pigs then surely I am allowed to vent on the internet? Also, Thursdays is a bitch and it was a long day of work - hence, thread. Don't take it personally.

The shirt and the part about talking to your boss in a foreign language. Had SES all over it.

If there is a sign please fucking read it. Do not ignore me asking "are you alright" or "would you like to try those on" and walk right into the changeroom and then get snooty when I follow you in (not into the cubicle where you get changed, but the hallway outside it) and ask loudly "excuse me -- how many have yuo got, whoever jsut walked in."

Don't read the sign, then ignore it. I'm watching you, then I'll go have a bitch.

If you don't ask me to go in, and then you don't answer when I knock, don't get up me for opening it. As I have pointed out plenty of times, to get to the changeroom you walk past 2 or 3 signs saying "please see attendant" and there is one stuck to the mirror. Don't fucking tell me you didn't know, then look at me like I'm a pervert -- I don't want to look at your indecent old man body.

I will 85% of the time tell you we can order things in from other stores or get stuff put on hold at other Gold Coast stores if you want to drive there. I dont have to, I'm doing it cos I'm nice. Don't get up me if the other stores take so long to answer the phone or don't have it when I've checked that they should.

Just because I am female doesn't mean I don't know anything about sports teams and merchandise. I know more than most of the staff. Also don't ask for stuff like the Penrith Knights and expect me to know which one your son prefers if you don't know the colour or correct name.

yes i hate it when people chuck everything on the floor, even worse when they can't control their kids.
Once i was working (not at SES) and this family comes in with some 4 kids and they were trying on thongs and if it didn't fit they just threw it on the ground. It was very annoying.

Yeah, I hate it when parents tell their kids "just leave it". I always go "sorry, is this yours? You can't just leave it here."

Or some kid the other day was eating Maccas chips, dropped a few when I was about two metres away, and pushed it under the table while looking at me. Her mum told her "that lady behind you saw you and will yell at you" so she picked it up.

Oh and another thing: parents SHOULD NOT expect employees to rein in their kids or yell at them. Parents shouldn't be asking me to tell their kids to stop when they can't control them. What the fuck can I legally do? I can't yell at them without making me look like a bad employee, I can't touch their kids, I can't ask the whole family to leave, and they have the nerve to ask me.
