Its a self-fulfilling prophesy. If you dont think love exists, then you wont be open to experiencing love- you limit yourself, and so any potential feelings of love will either be ignored, or may not be experienced at all (which is basically what you said about dead ends and future possibilities).

Love is nothing more than convenient relationships which fulfill some form of satisfaction for a certain period.

Love is the cavernous void which we seek constantly seek reaffirmation.

Love is merely a cycle of loneliness and despair.

etc etc.

You could rationalise on that, or you could just not care and move on.

yo Azlah, you're still in high school. you're doing your HSC and shouldn't be worrying about these things. i promise you you will find someone. there is a whole world out there after high school. maybe it's just cause you've been stuck with the same old crowd in the same old area. once you're in uni you'll meet lots of people. so don't sweat it, love will find you.
