When you shop.. (2 Viewers)

Today I went out with the intention of getting a CD

Instead I bought a top, a scarf, a key ring, a jumper, 2 candles, some stud earrings and a necklace. Oh and I bought a packet of Reece's pieces and some Hershey Kisses


Anyway I was just wondering do other people end up buying random stuff and not what they set out to buy or is it just me?

I didnt think shopping was fashion or lifestyle. Sure its kinda linked. But It was more a question of other people and what they do :\ Merf. I cant move it anyway

sometimesi just go 2 do the grocerys and end up stopping at at least 5 different shops

haha when i'm determined to buy something, eg new top or whatever, i can never find one that i like... and end up finding other fabulous impulse buys... most of my favourite items of clothing are impulse buys

and then when i'm not looking for anything in particular, i'll see the thing i wanted to buy -__-

i work at erina fair, and practically after every shift i turn up with at least a new top or earrings
not cool at alllll when you do 4-5 shifts per week

lol yeah i always do that, the first time i discovered ebay...whoa that was bad bad bad for my bank ballance lol but generally when i go shopping i usually have a fair idea of what i want, although once, a friend got me a $75 voucher so i went and got a shirt ... in and went and about 15 minutes later, i emerged with 3 shirts, 2 jeans, a pair of shoes and a jacket.... a nice $600-700 down the drain

Haha I wasnt even meant to spend ANY money and I went to the shops with the pretence of needing art material for my Drama IP and I all I wanted was this CD but I bought all this random stuff instead D:



Now I still need to get the CD

Also I usually come home with things that I don't even need but thats what's fun about shopping.. A bad habit I have is buying the same piece of clothing in different colours. Like the other day when I went shopping I bought the same skirt in 2 different colours because I liked it so much

Haha. I do that all the time. If I decide I like something, I will go back the next morning and buy the other colours
I dont know if your the same, but i never end up wearing them....

Haha I never do that but I always intend to and get upset cos I havent. Although I allllways end up with stuff I dont need/remember buying

yeh Im like that but I end up buying stuff in similar colours cos I get obsessed with a colour and then I cant wear any of it together cos it doesnt go :/ Its reallllly stupid

lol i feel sorry for you guys.
i'm a natural window shopper, so i go into town, umm and ahh over a couple of things, and come out with nothing...then i get home and hate what's in my wardrobe! despite saving cash (which's good caus i have shit all due to lack of work), its actually quite annoying

for example, today i had the best part of an hour to kill after an interview. i went through a couple of shops, anything i did have a second look at wasnt really what i wanted (eventhough i dont really know what i do want)...then i get to 1 store, find this really cute jumper, try it on, umm and ahh for about 10 mins, wonder what the hell i could wear under it, decide that $28.50's a bit too much for a jumper, work out that i'd only have 10c left in my wallet if i bought it, then wonder why i umm'd and ahh'd for so long over a pink jumper (i NEVER wear pink..eventhough it was really nice). so i stuff that and leave the mall empty handed, wondering if i should've actually bought it or not.

then again, when i'm shopping with someone else's money, i'm the complete opposite! mum took me shopping for my bday..ended up with new jeans, new jacket, new jumper and a couple of new tops in the space of a couple of hrs. same with post chrissie sales - 3 or 4 (pretty dressy) tops for 90 bucks...couldnt decide between 2 of them and didnt have anyone to get a second oppinion off, so i bought both (not a fan of getting oppinions off the chicks who work there - my theory is they'll try and sell you it even if it looks shocking)

I went to coles the other day to get some batteries and ended up also buying a block of chocolate and some crumpets.

Considering the amount of cash I usually carry around I spend suprisingly little on unplanned purchases.

I dont know if your the same, but i never end up wearing them....

lol yeah thats like me too, about half of the clothes in my wardrobe and draws still have tags on them because I havn't worn them yet. I need to stop buying new things but I can't help myself

the tags come off when i get home usually (except if i try it on and it doesnt sit right or something, then obviously i'll keep em so i can i change it). but one of the tops i got at chrissie i've only worn once or twice...its really nice, but kinda dressy...i need to go out more

i have a problem of needing to get new pants/skirts etc, and coming home with like five shirts instead. my tops:bottoms ratio is like 10:1, seriously.

Guys go in and buy what they want/need without looking at any of the other shops.

That's not the case with my guy.

He looks around as much as I do before buying something. It makes sense to do that though, especially when you're looking for clothes. It saves you from seeing something better, or the same item for a lower price after you've already made your purchase.
