Today I left in the hope of window shopping with a friend.

Ugh, Myer sale! Therefore I bought a really cute Tokito top for $28. Bargain, considering it was Tokito. <3

i did that last year at dfo - 1 pair of ok (now pretty dodgy looking) jeans for 40-50 bucks at jay jays...walked a couple of stores down and found a pair of way nicer jeans for ~35 bucks at just jeans

when i shop, i usually spend all my money.
or else i go out intending to buy clothes, but never buy any, so i come home with all this money which eventually gets spent on copious amounts of alcohol.

i know what you guys mean about jay jays. (nowdays) the clothes are really tacky and they look really cheap. i went in a couple of days ago and they had tonnes of shyte quality jackets, etc..everything was either really really thin or way too heavy and none of it looked like anything i'd ever consider wearing..it all looks like stuff you'd see your younger (under 16) sibling/cousin in

i dont like jay jays or jeans west. all they seem to have at jeans west is blazers and ill fitting pants. and jay jays are skanky ho outlet stores...its not worth it. seriously, the material in jeans will wear out if they are too thin.

and pants to tops ratios are supposed to be like that, you can mix and match the tops to the pants, and this lets you spend more on pants, that are more important fitting-wise, unless you are one of those lucky few that can take any pants off the rack and wear them.

you know what is really flattering that i have just realised?...tuxedo style pants!

i bought a pair at st vinnies and they fit like a dream and look really cute. i have gotten so many complements on them, and they cost me $6.

yay! i so love shopping.

but back on topic: yes, i do. all the time.

Tuxedo pants rule :p I bought an oversized pair of grey stripey roxy ones the other day, and i'm wearing them everywhere. But $6 is always better than $80... How do you find this stuff?!?!

Not a fan of Jay Jays or Jeans West, or even Just Jeans...

Jeans West and Just Jeans are a bit too plain. Its all kinda unoriginal and outdated. Like Alley said, there are just too many blazers, too many floral cami's, and too many jeans with ugly deliberate faded patterns. And imo it's all pretty much overpriced for what it is.

But in all fairness, I bought a pair of torn-ish jeans from Jay Jays 3 years ago, and I still wear them occasionally.

On another note, does anyone go through phases of buying a particular type of item?
E.g. I just got over my buying jeans phase and am now back onto shoes.

It depends what kind of mood I'm in. Also, I usually find myself splurging on copious amounts of books. I could just spend hours and hours in a bookshop. I don't usually like clothes shopping, however I have been known to walk into a clothes shop and come out with $200 worth of crap I never end up wearing.
