Just handed in my first draft today, 7.8 thousand words. Now I just have to wait for my teacher to read it and comeback saying its rubbish so I can get on with starting it again ;).

Today I am happy.

No more performance exams left...plenty of time for 1am writing sessions.

Today after not looking at my essay in a while I went back to it and realised how crummy it really is. The time away from it gave me a whole new clarity. Too bad it didn't work out in good way :( :(

(note this is not a I want sympathy post, it really is crap)

I have reached the point where I am completely comfortable - and incredibly excited about my idea. Sure, I only have 550 words down on paper, but I have my entire story planned out and it all fits into place - entwined with Greek mythology - perfectly. I am ecstatic. Seriously, so happy. hehe. I love my idea, and IMO it's very original :p

i got about 7000 words done... finding the word limit very restrictive.
after i finish my 1st draft (should be around 12000 at least) i have to begin the long process of editing it down :( and finding a deeper meaning to place in it. it seems everyone else's story has some deep meaning/moral or intertwines with something deep!
