We're almost finished complex numbers... finishing up locus problems...

My head hurts. I just finished a sheet of them.

The quicker you finish the less stuff you take in (*speaks from first hand experience*) ;)
Well not in all cases, if you *do* do your homework. :p

Yeah i've done implicit diff. Isn't it part of graph sketching?

Although everybody seems to be doing it in different orders. Some people are starting with Graphs, some with Harder 3U, but I think most are starting with Complex Numbers.

For me: Complex Numbers + Polynomials (at the same time).........Harder 3U is last I think.

So do you sit in a classroom on your own? Or is it more like a private tutoring session, except at school?
I've never had tutoring before so i'm not sure, but its not like a normal class, she sits next to me and goes through the notes with me then i do questions, so i guess thats like tutoring in school. Oh n i just finished drawing regions from complex numbers, and ive never heard of half the stuff u guys are mentioning.. :(
Do recommend getting a tutor or isn't it worth it?

Personally, I'm not gonna bother getting a tutor - I enjoy the challenge and satisfaction of figuring questions out myself - personal preference though I guess.

Assessment for me today on CN and Polynomials.
I dunno what's next though - does anyone know what generally follows these two topics?

Did my complex numbers test today (it was brilliant).

We're doing graphs after polynomials.

Implicit differentiaton is part of a 4unit topic, it's either Graphs or Conics.

question - we have finished complex numbers and graphing - both of which have been understandable, and more importantly, do-able. Compared to the rest of the 4U syllabus, how do these rank on the difficulty scale?

Alright guys, now the holidays are upon us, it's time for a bit of a thread bump. :p

After one term, our 4U class has completed, entirely, 3 topics.

- Complex Numbers
- Polynomials
- Graphs

The thing is though, today we decided to come to school and have a day of pure 4U maths. Today, we completed in its entirety, the topic on graphs. Rather easy IMO. But yeah. 3/8 the way through in only one term :)
