If your head English teacher doesn't allow you to make use of free public education, then find the brightest English student in your school, that's how I would approach your situation.
If your teacher doesn't allow you to hassle him/her to spend time helping you then your teacher isn't really doing his/her job properly.
The first few papers he gradeded, he didn't really write anything except a score or a blurb about needing more details. Today though, he finally did a thorough review of my essay, and I got some marks. He didn't mention anything about sentence structure though. I'm actually more interested in finding better ways to write, but since it was correct, he didn't mark it. He did help me out with grammer though. I talked to my lab teacher, and she didn't really help me at all. She just glazed over my paper and made a few marks. When my English teacher mentions stuff he marked, he tells us to talk to the lab teacher, but honestly, she's not much help at all.
I was just wondering if there was some kind of site I could submit my papers to, but I like your idea of finding a student who's very good at the subject and asking for his help. Thanks for the tip.
