Those are what I'm after, I don't like carrying my regular backpack just for a 1.25L bottle of water.
They're ideal for carrying light loads, just one simple parcel attached to one large strap that goes diagonally across your torso.

wow they're so oldschool.. hard to find in mainstream places.. but asian infested places will have them, like paddys or market city maybe.. MAYBE.. iono, haven't seen them since 5yrs ago..

I had one, but the velcro strip at the front broke cos I kept ripping it open n close everytime I carried it or put it down..

Any heavier of a load and one shoulder would kill..

There are waaaaaaaaay more attractive bags than that in shoulder strap style (enter the man bag). Just make sure you get a hot one!!!

EDIT: you'd be better off with a satchel. They look better and are much more in style.

Canvas ones are probably more suitable to young people, such as yourself.

ok, re-reading this thread some people seem to be saying the satchel (like the one i posted) is a man-bag
however, i've always found Man-bag to refer to those bags that are effectively large handbags for men.

or are both types included under the one definition?

a man bag is different to a satchel/messenger bag. but ur right a man bag is basically a hand bag for a man. while those crumpler bags are gay and a huge rip off, they show the difference.

Holdalls is too far off, I won't carry the brother of the handbag.
