I currently go to a selective school and here are my ranks for each individual subject. Its a week before trials so I believe I can still gain the marks to get a top 10 ranking and hopefully get my desired atar.

Advanced English: 20/150
Maths Ext 1: 15/130
Maths Ext 2: 20/70
Chemistry: 15/70
Physics: 25/95

The help is much appreciated and any suggestions would be welcome.

I'd say you're probably looking at around 98.3 - 99.00 maybe, those ranks are pretty solid considering the size of your cohort (plus, it's you have a very high scaling combination of subjects). I would think that top 10 rankings across the board should be enough for 99.4.

Let say I get into top 10 for English, Maths Ext 1 and Chem and top 20 for Physics/Maths Ext 2. Then is there still a legitimate chance? And there's always externals which I can ace.

I'd say you would have a shot with those ranks.

also remind you that the internals are 50%, if you blitz your externals you can easily get even ABOVE 99.4 man!

Just keep in mind that ATAR estimates arent very reliable or accurate - so dont place too much faith in these estimates (same goes for those given by your school).

definitely possible though depends on your school rank. I think if its in top 25 or so you have a very good shot. just wondering though why 99.4? there is like no courses for that specific mark (law is like 99.6+) and you can basically do anything else with 99. are you just trying to maximise your chances of med?

Kewon-There's a specific course with 99.4 atar as the cut off. It a Bachelor of Engineering (Aeronautical (Space)) which i want to get into. Nah, I'm not interested in Med although I might have a go at umat in the following years.
Enoilgun-Yep,I totally agree but at least its an accurate estimate of what I need to accomplish so Thanks you.

Hey Guys, Update on my Trial Marks

Subject/Mark/Rank/Overall Rank

Advanced English-86/105. 4/150. Not sure yet but definitely 10-20/150 students
Maths 3U-70/70. 1/130. Definitely 1-5
Maths 4U-92/100. 9/70. Top 15
Chemistry-81/100. 11/70-This might change depending if I get extra marks. Top 15 definitely
Physics-85/100. 12/100-Top 20

Is 99.40 still a realistic chance?

Number of Band 6s for each subject at our school

Adv English-~40
Maths 3U-~Half the Grade or more
Maths 4U-~Top 20
Chemistry-~30
Physics-~20
