can we make this a constructive thread?!

the picture is rather misleading... not all chinese texts are written from top to bottom, especially modern text...

learning how to write and read in chinese is very very hard... much harder than english... i suggest you learn pinying and then take some year 1 chinese texts and start from scratch. (no offence there, but my sister is doing year 1 chinese and i freaked out as to how hard she has gotten)
