I've been tossing up between studying composition at USYD or UniMelb. I'm a newly graduated year 12 student and I'm going to take a gap year to further my musical knowledge - ie; take piano lessons, singing lessons - as I am moreso a drummer and guitarist (though I do know my way around musescore).
I'm also debating studying a classical composition course or a more specialised course, ie; USYD's Composition for Creative Industries or UniMelb's Interactive Composition. I want to one day become a composer for film, tv, videogaming, that sort of vibe. These courses seem to specialise in that, but I am aware that I don't want to pigeon-hole myself into one career option, or pick a sub-par course that's just trying to get more students by seeming mroe appealing.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
