Aaaah... was going to try and work so hard on it over the holidays... but failed miserably :D Have written a page but I hate it and it doesn't flow and it's got no structure... and 11 footnotes on one page - and most of them are the same, grr...

Desperate to work out a methodology or theory to mention - anyone know of one (a composers purpose is reflected in a character's portrayal)?

Ty Ty. I have an idea! Amazing....

Without getting people politically enraged, please imagine this scenario.

The Americans (theoretically) knew that Iraq didn't have any WMD's, or at least that they weren't in any danger. So they invade on in, everythings good, a few Americans getting killed, but its all for international peace etc etc. So what if the Iraqis ARE dangerous, they DO have WMds. Someone tries to tell the Americans (like the UN or something), but they shrug it off, they do the equivalent of "of course they have WMD's, don't you read the paper"... and bad stuff happens. The purpose is to basically show America's arrogance, the irrationality of their isolationist policies, and how much I hate George W Bush!

Is it terrible? Am I gonna die?

Doing a playscript btw.

Hey,
I havent even fully got an idea yet.... im so far behind PANIC!
I've just had so much difficulty coming up with something I actually like and I've changed ideas about a million times. :chainsaw:
So far I've decided on the Gothic genre, and im in the middle of research.....
But you know I think a storyline may just be... oh i dont know... kind of essential......

Where am I now? In the middle of darn writers block..........

I told my teacher, after recieving a C for my proposal (like most of my class) that I was considering dropping it and he started half-yelling at me telling me I wasnt allowed to drop it and that I had to do it because he said so lol.

So I'm still plodding along at an exceedingly slow pace.

your teacher yells at u to keep ee2? thats weird. i went up to my teacher to say that im dropping it and 10 minutes later, she somehow managed to convince me to keep it for a little while longer coz i can drop it any time i want. strangely enough, she did it without pressuring...anyway, so im back to square one: looking for an idea and searching for inspiration. looks like ill be hovering around this board for a little while longer :)

I would imagine teaching crappy year 7s is much more fun than yr 12s. My ee2 classes r offline, so if everyone dropped it, our teachers would get to go home :p

Yup - they do... particularly my EE2 teacher - if she didn't have us she'd have a Year 7 Eng class with this kid in it that has ADHD and is really uncontrollable... and she's this little sweet teacher against him and his screaming and everything... *pats her on the head*

yeah the whole english staffroom at school is dead against yr 7 and 8. Basically because they're possessed. Pretty much every time I go up for a class there is a yr 7/8 sitting outside the staffroom or running rampant down the hall.

hehe I suppose we were the same back in the day :D

I'm so glad I'm not the only one~! I scrapped my idea a few days ago, and instead of branching off a tangent to a new topic, I jumped into a whole new area :D
