haha im not sure its 15 years alvin...for undergrads its 5-6 years degree, then 2yrs internship then 3 years specialising while working as a registrar isn't it? which would be 10-11 years instead.

for postgrad is hate to be in a bonded situation though. 3-4 years undergrad, then a 4 year graduate course etc etc...works out to be 12-13 years.
hello? ill fail lik 3 times cos im too wasted and never accomplish stuff.. :p

u still hav to pay for ure specialist training and anything after the med course..
its just i planned to do OMS (oral-maxillofacial surgery) thru the MBBS.. its longer than thru BDS but has more options.. and OMS is about 16yrs thru med & 15 yrs thru BDS..

wilson- i thought internships were 1 year ^.~ ...... why did u say 2?

plus its only the minimum for specialties are 3 yrs.. some of the good ones are longer

u hav an interview and then they give u a benchmark to complete lik a non-med course.. usualli BSc.. with the expectation of a minimum mark.. like.. u need at least a credit average..
so when u finish that course ull be admitted into the med/dent program hopefully.. consider UQ

Yeah, it's like after the application process they go "ok, you can have a place...IF you get a credit average in a BSc first". You've received a guaranteed place in a Graduate course, as long as you still deserve it after three years. I think it's actually a pretty good deal, considering a Credit average isn't so hard (definitely not as hard as that 99.xx UAI crap, but still hard) and you don't need to go through the 18 month long GAMSAT ordeal.

Well, they want a GPA over 5.5, where they once wanted 4.0 ... it comes out to about the same I should expect. The GPA I mention is for normal Graduate Entry (ie get Bx, do GAMSAT, sit interview, w1nn4r). They haven't actually started the program yet though.

Ooh, maybe I can do that, though I don't get my results until tomorrow and I doubt I got Distinctions in Physics and Maths...very much doubt it. I may not have even passed Physics!
