After 13 years it comes down to 2 offers: B Commerce at MQ or B Arts at UNSW then a possible transfer to B Commerce at UNSW.
Pros about B Commerce at MQ:
-Actual Commerce Degree that includes accounting
-Very Social etc
Cons:
-Basically its very far. Hour's drive or 2 and a half hours by train. BTW if i go by car i have to think about toll and parking.
-If i get 75 WAM still not guarenteed a place in UNSW Commerce
Pros about B Arts at UNSW
-In the city
-In UNSW, so easier to conduct internal transfer
- If i get 75 WAM, Im guareenteed a spot in UNSW Commerce for 2014
Cons
-I dont get 75 and I am stuck in Arts

At this stage Im leaning towanrds Arts at UNSW but any advice is well and truly welcome. Especially more info about arts ty

If you want to end up doing commerce, then do commerce at MQ. Why risk getting stuck in an arts degree, when there's the choice of doing a commerce degree at a slightly less unknown university? What does it matter in the end? It's not the university, it's the grades.

UNSW has one of the best commerce faculties in the country so its definitely worth the risk. If you are stuck in an Arts degree Im sure theres way to do a commerce degree post graduate.

I'm not too sure about this statement. Getting stuck with an Arts degree and horrendous job opportunities does not constitute a reasonable risk.

An external transfer might even be easier than an internal one. I've noticed that someone transferred from UWS with a 71ish WAM.

wow thats amazing... but the bottom line for me is. is arts really that hard. Is it more than achievable to get 75 or do u have to work extremely hard?

Why does it matter? You may have credit transfers... So what, you get stuck with commerce at UTS. Are you not still doing a degree you enjoy? Go do arts, miss out on the transfer, and stick it out doing a shitty job. Take your pick mate.

(Sorry if this come across harshly, it's just that i really don't understand why you would choose the arts degree if you don't enjoy it?)

Have you considered Macquarie Sydney campus i think its called SIBIT or even distanced education? If your just really worried about travel pick UTS instead of Maquarie or something.

Hour's drive to MQ, 2 and a half hours by train? Just wondering what part of nsw you live in
