It depends who you consider a "legal gun owner" to be.

Authoritorian Left? I'd say the Australian Nazi Party sounds right for you.
Tell me good reasons why u hate gun owners, the majority of gun related crimes are committed by unlicensed un register criminals, that are imported illegally.

All you have to do is pass an extensive test, then u get ur precious gun...
It's more because you're the authoritive left + obviously like guns, ie nationalism.. protect urself + nation.

One cant get a gun in Australia for "protection" in fact if u put that down as a valid reason when applying for a gun u would never be able to own one, and for just passing a test there is a hell of alot more to it than that, how bout u read up on the subject.

Wait, so you want a gun just to put in your house to protect people? i thought you might be some sort of game hunter...
Are you crazy?
HELL NO, did i say i want a gun for protection. I would like to participate in the sport of pistol shooting, which takes place at a shooting range, (which is a place that one shoots targets at, these targets can be made out of paper, clay pigeons, etc.)

There is alot of paper work, very repetive. Then there is cooling off periods, in wich the police check out your criminal record and other things. The Commisioner of Police can denie giving you your liscense.

If your reason for getting a gun liscense is hunting, then you need to get a large property owner to fill out sections in your application.

in fact if u put that down as a valid reason when applying for a gun
I'm pretty sure that it is a tick box for geninue reasons for owner or using a gun and proction isn't one of them.

I recently took and passed a test to go for my full adult liscense class b (rimfire rifles not self loading, non pump action shotguns).
