Old Fraser is pretty sharp still. Gough is getting on. My god havn't politicians changed. It just reminds you how prosaic John Howard and his front bench are.

I saw it. Fraser seems to have lightened up a tad, and my dad whos pro-Whitlam said that he had "smartened up a bit".

He did. I was impressed. Someone should retire poor old Gough. I really think both Fraser and Whitlam are living legends.

Well Kerry o'brien did make note of the fact that Whitlam turns 90 soon. I was suprised he could still maintain a half coherent argument at that age.

Gough predicted that he wont see another federal Labor gov in his lifetime after the bomber lost last. Fair claim. Not sure why I brought it up really.

I heard a radio national interview with both of them last night. I agree that Whitlam is getting a little slow and often doesn't seem to answer questions in the way the interviewer intends. Fraser is cogent, I find it sort of amusing how he just won't back down on the events of 75... ha ha.
