ok im doing Contemporary Artists;
Jenny Holzer, Barbara Kruger + Cindy Sherman!
they fit into the conceptual frame (artist/artworld/audience)
w0w0oaa0o0woah

our teacher prescribed our class into which artists we should do
but i chose ones i liked myself because i felt i could learn them! (as im interested in them!) so i went against teachers wishes (har har!) yet they were surprised with my essays, and trial exams so its all good!
its way easier to learn about artists that your interested in!
even so, anything your interested in is easier to comprehend! lol

WOW ART IS MY LAST EXAM ASWELL! great exam to end the hsc in!
im gonna screaaaaaaaam when the examinors say PENS DOWN!

i've done artists from all different things in class and such =/
In an exam i like using Rauschenberg, Stelarc, Warhol... Along with some earlier more traditional artists like Dali I find them better to compare/contrast :)

Xu Bing (cultural) -- so so so cool, especially "panda zoo"
Simryn Gill (cultural) -- she's phwar!
Peter Booth (subjective) -- really think someone needs to by him some sunshine yellow paint... but hey, he fits with the case study of my artists so meh!
Philip Guston (subjective?) -- did he recently to fit in with above
George Baldessin (subjective) -- studied mainly artist's practice but mixed with other stuffs too

i also did a massive 20 minute presentation on oceanic body art (it was originally a major connection to my BOW) so i know far too much about that too to the extent i could do my entire essay on it lol

our art exams at school never counted for anything cause our teacher believed they were "trials" so no one ever studied for them. i'm the only one from the class (that i've talked to since school "ended") that's studied at all. everyone just kind of ignores it cause it's never mattered. i always figure you just make it up and justify it and you can't be wrong!!!!!

Kandinsky, Kahlo, Kruger, Pollock, Rothko, Michelangelo, Stelarc, Munch and Christo...

Then I'll choose who I want. I want to use Pollock, Christo, Kandinsky and Stelarc...but I doubt I'll get to. There are other artists I know, but they are my 'in-depth' ones.
