Malkin, i'm not voting for a 'friend', i'm voting for a leader.
I wouldn't vote for a leader that I couldn't feel would understand and listen to my and others' priorities. If I liked Howard's policies better and felt I could trust him, I'd vote for him. As it is, I do not like his policies and I don't feel I can trust him.

If I were voting solely on my feelings about the candidates, then, sure, it's a crappy way to vote.

Giving a vote to everyone does not make them wise any more than helping little old ladies across the road every Sunday makes them good.

Good policies and good leadership are both important to me.
Hypothetically speaking, if it had to be one without the other, the one that would stay would be good policies - I can stand to be embarrassed by the leader of our country, but not of our country.

Considering Beazly has a 0-2 record and Howard is on a streak of 4-0, it just says it all. Maybe Beazly is hoping the '3rd time lucky' saying is true.

who knows ? maybe beazley is hoping to challenge costello instead!
Beazley's got more experience than him!
in that case id vote fore beazley- coz ive never seen costello involved with anything other than money matters so i dont know how he'll perform- tim fischer usually takes over howard when he's on vacation (deputy prime minister)

lol, the election hype is building up already? meh, I don't think there's any chance of a change of government at the next election unless we have a recession.

Yeah. Sure.

I get worried with all these B police people who dont know the difference between their left and right.
Why would cops need to know the difference between right and left politics, how does that impact on them

howard, beazely is a 2 time loser who is far left, and labor dont even no their own stance anymore... they're the joke of aus. politics
The Labour Party cant even stick with one leader for very long, how are they supposed to win an election, when their leadership is in turmoil

At the very least, the Labour Party doesn't have the dodgy track record of the liberal government. Besides, Howard's cabinet are arrogant pricks. They[in my opinion] avoid accountability in question time, have been clearly shown to lie on numerous occasions and bully the public service.

Howard is the president of the IDU, which is enough to turn my vote away from him.

IDU principles:

"STRESSING the moral commitments of a free and open society,

***supporting the institution of the family as its fundamental social and cohesive force,***

as well as social responsibility towards the weak and less fortunate, particularly by encouraging self-help and individual enterprise and choice in the provision of services"

"market economy provides the best means of creating the wealth and material prosperity to meet the ***legitimate*** aspirations of individuals" [ which amounts to the organisation of society with a modern slavery of the individual to the dollar]
